Men have worn long underpants since ancient times, and they are still in use in cold weather. We actually like the American name for this garment much more: long johns. The long underpants evolved from the nightgown, taking the bottom part of that shirt together. In the nineteenth century, the concept of long johns improved thanks to industrialization and better production techniques. Since then, they have been made of elastic fabric and provided with a stretchable seam. The authentic long men's underwear has been part of the Hema collection from day one. For years, long underpants were mainly associated with elderly men, but there is a real rejuvenation: thermo models are especially popular with outdoor athletes.
