Six panel skirt
Skirts
For the lazy seamstress
The six panel skirt, just like the four panel skirt, fits slim around the hips, but often flares out a bit wider. The principle is also the same, except that this skirt does not consist of four but six equal panels. By widening or narrowing these panels downwards, you can create a skirt that is almost straight or bulges out incredibly wide. The volume is created by the tapered panels, which is why this skirt has no pleats. It stands wide in sturdy fabric, and slim in supple fabric. This model is not difficult to make, you just have to copy the pattern from that one panel and cut it out of the fabric six times. For the most lazy seamstress, even a zipper is superfluous if you make the fabric from jersey or tricot.
