Anyone wearing disco pants radiates that life is all about having fun. In the colorful 1970s, the trouser legs could'nt be wider for both men and women. A pair of platform heels was indispensable to complete the look. An outfit in which you were guaranteed to be the star of the dance floor! The movie Saturday Night Fever (1977) was a major influence on the disco fashion. Orange, brown and purple were the fashion colors. Shimmering fabrics and sequins were very popular. As if the clothing was specially designed to reflect beautifully in the disco lights. Elvis Presley rocked the wide pants and glam rock icon David Bowie became a fashion trendsetter with his extravagant glitter suits.
