Carré

90 x 90 centimeters
Carré is French for square, a perfect name for this luxurious scarf measuring 90 by 90 centimeters. For fashion house Hermès, the silk carrés with colorful prints are probably the biggest source of income. They are traditionally produced and printed in the south of France. Twice a year a collection with new designs is released, from the characteristic horse harnesses to Indian elephants. The square scarf  – also called foulard  – is loved by wearers and collectors and can be worn in different ways: classically knotted around the head à la style icons Jacky Kennedy and Elisabeth Taylor, as a belt, around the neck, in the hair or wrapped around the handle of your handbag.
