Nothing but time
“You all have a watch, but you don't have time. I don't have a watch and I have all the time.” This life motto of beachcomber Maarten Boon, one of Texel's most relaxed islanders, summarizes the excitement of modern society. It was only a matter of time before the first truly timeless watch would be designed. There are now several versions of this conceptual accessory. Such as an assembly of old watch parts that only consists of a strap with an empty watch case. Or the watches from The Watch Now with no hands or numbers, just the text 'now' on the dial. An even more basic variant has only one band with a metal ring. A reminder of how important it is to be present in the moment and to reflect on the 'here and now'.
